Swarm Series 2011

The swarm series depict imaginative hybrids, which emerge from layers of oil paint.  These paintings are a celebration of colour and form.  A continuing inspiration is the collection and study of local botanical and insect specimens.  For this series collections were made from the Merri Creek area. This series is inspired by the colour and light depicted in the work of Pierre Bonnard.
